Our mom’s tell us running is healthy. But we’ll only do it if there is loud music playing. We do all distances ‘cos some of us are just starting out. And we leave no runner behind!
OUR STORY
I’ve always run.
I’ve never considered myself a RUNNER.And then I discovered my love for drum and bass music.
Next thing I knew, I was waking up at 5 am on dark Winter mornings to go for a run.
Not because I loved running. Not because I wanted to get fit. But because I wanted to hit the streets and listen to my tunes.
It started out in headphones. Quickly progressed to a small Bluetooth speaker on my belt. And then the speaker got bigger and bigger.
Soon my runs became about making sure I was telling whoever I ran into what I was listening to. And telling them loudly.
I shed weight. Got healthier. And asked myself: “There’s gotta be more bass heads out there who would love this as much as I do. Right?”
I strapped (a bigger) speaker to the back of my car. Asked a mate to drive in front of me.
And invited some other delinquents to join me.
This is just the start.
